Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams building and scaling AI accelerator cluster systems (TPU/GPU-based)
- Define technical roadmap for AI compute infrastructure to support Google's AI/ML workloads
- Drive architectural decisions across hardware-software co-design for accelerator clusters
- Partner with ML research, hardware engineering, and cloud infrastructure teams
- Recruit, develop, and manage senior engineering talent
Requirements
- Deep experience in large-scale distributed systems or HPC/cluster infrastructure
- Proven engineering leadership at Director level or equivalent (managing managers)
- Technical background in AI/ML accelerator hardware (TPUs, GPUs, custom ASICs) or systems software
- Track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects at hyperscale
