Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead AI and search evaluation frameworks across Elsevier's product portfolio
- Drive quality standards for retrieval-augmented and generative AI features in scientific search
- Partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to embed evaluation into the AI development lifecycle
- Build and maintain benchmarking, human evaluation, and automated testing pipelines
- Translate evaluation insights into roadmap decisions and executive-level reporting
Requirements
- Deep expertise in information retrieval, search quality, or NLP evaluation
- Experience leading evaluation programs for AI or search products at scale
- Ability to operate at the intersection of research, product, and engineering
