Key Responsibilities
- Build and operate a multi-tenant AI platform providing model access, inference serving, prompt/workflow orchestration, retrieval integration, and evaluation tooling
- Establish golden paths, reference architectures, and developer experience workflows for AI development and deployment
- Embed AI capabilities into the SDLC to accelerate engineering productivity across planning, coding, testing, deployment, and observability
- Define and deliver AI platform strategy, roadmap, intake, lifecycle, and deprecation policies
- Lead vendor and build-vs-buy decisions for AI platform components
- Partner with Engineering, Security, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure AI governance and regulatory compliance by default
- Drive platform adoption through developer experience quality, not mandate
Requirements
- Proven track record shipping production-grade internal developer platforms adopted voluntarily by engineering teams
- Experience operating across organizational boundaries with influence rather than authority
- Deep understanding of AI/ML infrastructure: model serving, inference, orchestration, RAG/retrieval, evaluation
- Familiarity with regulated industry governance requirements (risk, compliance, audit trails)
- Experience integrating AI into CI/CD and SDLC tooling
