Afida GmbH is hiring a founding AI Platform leader to build a secure, multi-tenant AI backbone on AWS for the highly regulated German insurance sector, enabling production-grade LLM and AI service integration across products and processes.

Key responsibilities
- Build and lead a new strategic AI platform domain within the insurance vertical from the ground up
- Architect and own a scalable, secure, multi-tenant AI backbone on AWS integrating LLMs and AI services into products and processes
- Design a client-context layer and develop an AI governance, metering, and compliance framework aligned to regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with and expand cross-functional teams including product, cloud, security, and governance stakeholders
- Define technology standards and guardrails for safe, production-grade AI usage across the organization
Requirements
- Deep experience architecting AI/ML platforms or LLM-based systems at production scale
- Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure for AI workloads
- Understanding of AI governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (especially in financial/insurance sectors)
- Experience building or leading multi-tenant AI architectures
- Ability to work across technical and business stakeholders to drive AI adoption
