This Privacy Policy explains how caio.pro, operated by Generum sp. z o.o., collects, uses, and protects your personal data. We keep this simple — we collect only what we need.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect and why

Newsletter subscribers — if you subscribe to our weekly digest, we store:

• Your email address — to send you the newsletter
• A subscription timestamp — to record when you subscribed
• A secure token — to let you unsubscribe without logging in
• A confirmation flag — we use double opt-in; we only send emails to confirmed subscribers

We do not collect names, payment data, IP addresses, or any other personal information for the newsletter.

Job board usage — browsing caio.pro does not require registration. We do not set tracking cookies or build behavioral profiles.

3. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your email address on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you confirm your subscription via the double opt-in email. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.

4. How we use your data

• To send you the weekly AI leadership roles digest (every Friday)
• To send the one-time confirmation email when you subscribe
• We do not sell, share, or rent your email address to third parties
• We do not use your email for advertising or profiling

5. Third-party services

We use Resend (resend.com) to deliver emails. Your email address is transmitted to Resend solely for this purpose. Resend acts as a data processor under our instructions. Their privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Our server infrastructure is hosted in the EU (Hetzner, Finland).

6. Data retention

• Active subscribers — we retain your email as long as you remain subscribed
• Unsubscribed — we keep a deactivated record to honour your opt-out and prevent accidental re-subscription. You may request full deletion at any time (see Your Rights below)

7. Your rights (GDPR)

As a data subject under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Object / Withdraw consent — unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter, or by emailing us

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@caio.pro. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority (UODO).

8. Cookies

caio.pro does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We may use a single session-level cookie for technical functionality only (no analytics, no third-party trackers).

9. Security

Subscriber data is stored in an encrypted database on EU-based infrastructure. Unsubscribe tokens are cryptographically random (256-bit). We do not store passwords.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The current version is always available at caio.pro/privacy.html.
